It is hard for most artists to be productive and creative all of the time. Most of my time is spent thinking of what I am going to do rather than actually painting. That’s probably a diversionary tactic and it ususally stops me from getting anything accomplished. I’d be interested in what strategy artists use to get the juices flowing.

I’ll comment on this myself. I often find it useful to organize my supplies so that they are all at my fingertips and ready to use.
