Trying to be productive and creative.

It is hard for most artists to be productive and creative all of the time. Most of my time is spent thinking of what I am going to do rather than actually painting. That’s probably a diversionary tactic and it ususally stops me from getting anything accomplished. I’d be interested in what strategy artists use to get the juices flowing.
